3 motorcycle rides from Hôtel MENDY
1. Iraty Forest and Burdincurutcheta Pass – approximately 90 km
From Hôtel MENDY, head towards Mendive and climb to the Burdincurutcheta Pass. Continue towards Iraty and enjoy the mountain scenery before returning via Estérençuby, Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and the hotel. A superb ride through forests, mountain passes and panoramic landscapes.
2. Aldudes Valley and Ispéguy Pass – approximately 100 km
Head towards Saint-Étienne-de-Baïgorry, then Banca and the Aldudes Valley. Continue to the Ispéguy Pass on the Spanish border before returning to Hôtel MENDY. Winding roads, traditional villages and typical Basque landscapes make this a wonderful ride.
3. Grand Tour of Navarre – approximately 150 to 190 km
For a full day of riding: Saint-Étienne-de-Baïgorry, Banca, Les Aldudes, then cross into Navarre towards Eugi and its lake, continue to Roncesvalles and return via Arnéguy and Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. A particularly enjoyable route for its winding roads, forests and spectacular scenery.
Mountain roads: remember to check the weather and road conditions before setting off. Take particular care around free-roaming animals. Roads around Iraty can also be narrow and winding.
